’tis a busy time ahead for many of us, especially getting ready for the holidays…& i sincerely appreciate those of you who were able to squeeze some handmade art to share!
many thanks to all who participated in this past week’s PINK challenge…this month we continue our tribute to COLOR…
for this coming week, WHITE is the color theme, as suggested by my sis, jo. thanks jo for suggesting this! for many of us in the northern hemisphere, winter has arrived. so think snowy, soft white in your handmade projects this week. as always, you may use ANY medium just as long as you create something handmade.
also, i am still looking for your color suggestions for the last two weeks of december. if you have a suggestion, pls. by all means, drop a comment here or email me at follow_your_bliss07@hotmail.com …& if i use your idea, you will receive a small handmade token of appreciation from yours truly.
so go out there & have fun. & remember
to all things handmade…celebrate & inspire! xoxo

creative prompt {week 5}

hope your thanksgiving holiday was a good one. last week, we were showing gratitude. i thought this week, we’d show our simplicity. like this handmade kitty that a pediatric patient had made for me a few years ago. she was 9 at the time. i was deeply touched by her sweet handiwork…the sheer simplicity of it all.
so using any MEDIUM, please show us your simplicity creation. i look forward to what you come up with!

creative prompt {week 4}

in honor of thanksgiving, i thought gratitude would be a fitting prompt for week 4. the above is a 4×4 collage on painted cardboard which i made for a blog pal, thanking her for hosting this swap i was fortunate enough to participate in. so your task this week is to create something, whatever medium, that holds some meaning of gratitude. it could be a handmade gift to express thanks, a piece that connotes “gratitude” on some level, or something you’ve made dedicated to someone/something beloved. use your imagination…anything is possible & acceptable!
have fun with this & happy thanksgiving to you and yours!!

creative prompt {week 3}: easy peasy
November 11, 2007 · 2 Comments
hi all! thanks to everyone who has participated in the last couple of weeks! it is wicked awesome that you want to join me in the handmade revolution!
for our 3rd week,
the prompt is EASY PEASEY…what do i mean by this you may ask? well it could mean one of 3 things:
a) your handmade project is so wicked simple to make that you could make it in your sleep!
b) it takes very little time to make your handmade project (under an hour or less)…
and/or
c) you use a few simple materials to create your handmade item.
TAKE YOUR PICK(s)…
i made the above faux cookies using a very easy peasey crochet pattern. one cookie took me less than a half an hour to make. how wicked cool is that?
as always, your submission can be of ANY medium so long as it is handmade by you
happy crafting! celebrate & inspire!
